- Both ADU and JADU allowed on one property
- Multi-family may have up to one ADU per existing unit
Find an Expert
Every part of the state has companies specializing in ADU construction. Some are design/build companies who will handle a project from beginning to end. Some are architecture firms with a specialty in designing ADUs. Still others are manufacturers with an ADU product they want to sell to you. All of these approaches can work fine if you carefully screen your choices. By far the most important task is to check references, preferably the most recent jobs your vendor has completed.
